At Glen Dental, Lina and Shrik Kotecha have built their reputation as outstanding dentists based on their abilities to put nervous patients at ease. At Glen Dental, we understand that some patients are nervous about visiting the dentist. Fear of the dentist can stem from unpleasant experiences in the past, the smells and sounds of the dental surgery, or a phobia of needles – which is why we use a pain free injection system, The Wand.
Dental phobia is the main reason people delay or put off having dental treatment and this means many nervous patients live with discomfort, pain and treatable conditions that can ultimately lead to tooth loss and can have a harmful effect to their overall health. It doesn’t have to be this way!
How Glen Dental helps nervous patients
Our Leicester dentists have a variety of therapies which can help you to relax including the use of meditative breathing techniques, the use of relaxing aromatherapy, the use of a STOP signal, the use of a topical numbing gel (that even has a taste and smell of bubble gum!) and the use of the Wand. You can also choose to listen to your favourite music or your favourite radio show or podcast whilst having dental treatment.
We also encourage nervous patients to bring a friend or family member along to their dental appointments for support.

The Wand
